The series by Behzad Jaez titled Turbanites, takes its name from the monograph published by Nazar Art Publications.  Over a course of fifteen years, the artist has diligently photographed every aspect of the lives of young seminary students during their five-year journey to becoming Turbaned clergymen. Thousands of photographs later and after a truly difficult task of selecting from among the many intriguing moments captured on camera, this exhibition presents the work in a slide presentation along with an accompanying exhibition of a selection of fifty works.  Previously exhibited as part of the widely acclaimed “Unedited History, Iran 1960-2014” exhibition curated by Catherine David and held at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, this is the artist’s first solo show and will open with the launch of his monograph.
